Nubwo ikirayi ari ikiribwa tumenyereye, gikungahaye kuri byinshi: umunyu w’ubutare (fer) wongera amaraso, na potasiyumu ituma amaraso avura vuba.

Gifite n’umunyu wa kalisiyumu ikingira rubagimpande. Gifite proteyine na vitamini bituma kinogeka neza mu nda. Gifite imbaraga zikiza zirenze urugero.

Gufata ikirayi kinini, kugikamuramo umutobe, kuwuvanga n’ubuki. Ibyo bivura kuziba kw’amara, kwituma uribwa, kuribwa mu nda, kuva amaraso mu menyo, impatwe, rubagimpande, indwara ya goutte, kuribwa mu gifu, kugonga kw’amara, indurwe nyinshi mu gifu (ari na yo itera ikirungurira), kivura kandi impiswi n’ibisebe byo mu mara.
